EXTENDING OPERATIONS
BURNS, PHILIP’S INTENTIONS
(United Press Association.) SYDNEY, January i. In reference to Mr Carpenter’s appointment Messrs Burns, Philip state that the present intention is only to open a merchandise business, but it is understood that this will shortly be followed by a steamer trade, and that in the near future the company will have its own vessels running to New Zealand with a view to the general extension of business operations throughout the Dominion,
