RAILWAYMEN’S GRIEVANCES
PROTESTS FROM WANGANUI. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Thursday. At a meeting of the Wanganui branch of, the New Zealand Railway Ofliccrs’ Institute a resolution was unanimously adopted: “That this branch demands the executive to make strong and urgent representation calling 0 n the riianagemcnt to fulfil the terms of the agreement entered into with the Railway Officers’ Institute at the conference; also that the members reduced in grade iu the last classification list bo restored to their original positions; and, further, to point out that, although the management promised liberal promotion, they nave failed signally in this respect, especially in the old Grade Q, whore the promotions are nil.”
