WAR TIME PROHIBITION

The Supreme Court which enforces war-time prohibition, is constitutional, and beverages containing half per cent, or more of alcohol are intoxicating and thus cannot be sold. A "BONE DRY" NATION. SEVERE BLOW TO THE BREWERS. (Reuter.) (Received Jan. 7, 8.45 a.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 5. The brewers have received a severe blow by the decision of the Supreme Court that 2.75 per cent, liquor is illegal. The Court upheld the action of Congress in declaring it intoxicating and preventing the sale of beverages containing one-half per cent, or more alcohol. The decision is regarded as a definition that will stand under constitutional prohibition, and appears to rnean a bone dry nation.
