—W HBHBBB & sew The New Light Six. embodying radical improvements in design, very much lighter, considerably more ECONOMICAL, AND OF STILL HIGHER QUALITY, THE NEW STUDEBAKER LIGHT SIX IS AS POWERFUL, AS DEPENDABLE, AS STRONG AND AS DURABLE AS THOSE EARLIER STUDEBAKER SIXES WHICH GAINED SUCH A MAGNIFICENT REPUTATION UNDER THE SEVEREST TEST CONDITIONS OF ROAD, MOUNTAIN AND RIVER THE DOMINION COULD AFFORD. A New Model with the Old Virtues. HIGH QUALITY, combined with economy in up-keep, fuel and tyre expenses have been the fundamental aims of the designers of the New Studebaker Light Six, These aims have been attained, together with distinctive grace and beauty of design. While equal to any work which a large and powerful car may be called upon to perform on New Zealand roads, the Studebaker Light Six is one of the lightest six-cylinder cars on the market Its lightness, however, involves no sacrifice of strength nor reliability. MECHANICALLY, this New Studebaker Six is right up-to-date. The gear box is carried amidships, the drive is “ through the springs,” and the final drive gearing is spiral-cut, ensuring silent, velvety running and a minimum of friction. The Motor is new throughout—a wonderfully efficient and economical power plant. "Ball and Bali ” carburetter, “hot-spot” intake manifold, and giagneto ignition are some of the new features. COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE, both of pissengers and driver, are admirably conserved in this model. The new tapered-front chassis nyakes for easy steering and easy turning in the narrowest of streets. All mechanical parts requiring attention are easily accessible. The seating is on the new low, luxurious plan, and every detail of body equipment, from the one-man khaki top to the door-latches and robe-rail, is the outcome of years of practical experience. There are over 2,000 Studebaker owners in New Zealand —all well satisfied.
