Barometer. Monday 29.80 Tuesday 30.25 Yesterday was partly unsettled, a few light showers falling during the early part of tho day, winds veering from north-west to a southerly direction, and lower temperatureTho barometer is high and rising. Anti-cyclonic conditions will probably prevail for some time. The indications are for fair weather during the next 48 hours, with moderate southerly winds and cool nights.
The Weather Bureau wires: Southeasterly winds, moderate .to strong, prevailing. There is a prospect of fair weather. 'The night will probably be very cold. The barometer has a rising tendency.
