The New York Times’ Washington' message* says that leading Democratic senators' point out that Mr Wilson’s announcement that Ite will not consider further any Treaty compromise is unfortunate, since it will undoubtedly strengthen the Treaty opponents. There are strong indications 4, however, that, both Republicans- and Democrats will continue their efforts tor a compromise despite the 'President’s announonment.
