GOVERNMENT CONTROL REMOVAL
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received Dec. 1, 10.25 .p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 29.
The produce trade is hopeful that the control of butter and cheese may be removed in the early spring. It is understood that the Government recently paid about 3505-per cwt_, f.0.b., for Danish butter for delivery till February. In the House of Commons, Mr Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer, stated that the Treasury had refused to purchase 2000 tons of Dutch butter because the price asked was 335 s per cwt., f.o.b.
