The Otago branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, resolved to call on the Government to relieve the pressure, which the high cost of commodities is imposing on members of the second division of the railways by granting the request of the executive for an increase of 2s a day. They also consider that the lime has arrived when the rank and file of the service should have a voice in its management and control.
