Colonel G. J. Smith, C. 8., of Christchurch. is at present in Hamilton. Mr C. T. Hylands, manager of the Honey Producers’ Association, was in Hamilton yesterday, and attended the meeting of tire Beekeepers’ Association in the afternoon. ’’
Mr J. H. Edgecumbe, F.R.1.8.A., youngest son of iMr and Mrs George Edgecumbe, “The Sycamores,” Frankton, who returned or the Hororata, reached Hamilton yesterday on a short visit. Mr Edgecumbe, who was studying in England when the war broke out, joined the Royal Engineers, with whom he served up to the close of hostilities, and was awarded the Military Medal.
Mr E. W. Eggleston, of Hamilton, will be leaving shortly for Wellington under transfer to the headquarters of his film in the Empire City. During his residence hero Mr Eggleston has taken an active interest in golf; and as secretary of the Hamilton Golf Club has proved a popular and efficient enthusiast in the sport. He expects to depart south about the end of next week.
