The. issuing of railway permits has now reached a steady level at Hamilton, about 70 being issued each day. The railway officials report that in practically every case legitimate rea-sons-are now stated 'by applicants. The trains passing through Hamilton are usually full, as only four cars are provided for passengers on the train to Rotorua, and two on that to Thames.
