RAMMED AND SUNK
LOSS OF A SCHOONER. TWENTY LIVES LOST. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Reecived August 8, 10.15 p.m. LONDON, August 6. A despatch from Halifax states that the British steamer Warwitch rammed and sunk the schooner Gadlia off St. Pierre. It is believed that 20 have been lost.
