filß MYERS' EXPLANATION. (By Telegraph-—Press Association.) DUNEBiN, Tuesday. Regarding the telegram from PUmerston North attributing the statement, tn Hon. A. M. Myers that "the Labour Party were urging on Holshc\isin." Hon. .1. T. Paul, president of tii,. Labour Party, has telegraphed in M" .Myers regarding the, matter. In reply Mr Myers stated: "I informed tin 1 pressman that I had made a statement in Auckland regarding the heavy financial obligations of the Dominion, anil having regard to the fact that in many countries, including New Zealand! an effort was being made to introduce Bolshevism, it was of the utmost importance that an election should take place as soon as possible to give the electors an opportunity >.f expressing their views so that stable Government could be secured to enable the Dominion to play a worthy part in furthering the best interests of Ihe community. ~ I did not associate the Labour Party in connection with such a statement.—Arthur Myers."
