LABOUR TROUBLES
MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES STRIKE.
(Reuter’s Telegrams.) Received March 31, 5, p.m. JOHANNESBURG, March 29. Following the recent meeting the employees at the municipal power station, Johannesburg, resolved to strike. They appointed a strike committee, which intimated that applications for light and power by public institutions would be considered on their merits. Everything is quiet. LATER. BRITISH LABOUR UNREST. STRIKERS RESUME WORK. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received April 1, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 31. Mr. W. C. Bridgeman, in the House of Commons announced that there were 115,327 on strike on Saturday, They have now resumed.
