The Spartacists are successfullyspreading a movement among the German sailors against the manning of food ships, declaring that if no Entente food arrives the German Government will be forced to negotiate with the Russian Bolsheviks in prder to obtain food, from Russia. Received March 28, 9.55 a.m. LONDON, March 27. According to Berlin reports the Bolsheviks are engineering a republic in Bessarabia with the object of attacking Roumania. Received March 28, 11.25 a.m. LONDON, Mai'ch 27. The situation in Odessa is improving. The internal troubles are being overcome and the city is more composed. General Danselme states that he is determined to hold Odessa to the last man.

Replying to a deputation of returned soldiers, protesting against the intended Bolshevik procession, Hon. G. W. Fuller, Chief Secretary, stated that the Government had warned the intending processionists, who had abandoned the scheme. In future the Government would refuse to allow aliens to use the Domain for the purpose of insulting the Empire.
BRISBANE, March 28. The Federal Government is closing the Russian Club.
MELBOURNE, March 28. It is stated, unofficially, that Bolsheviks are being deported.
