Throughout Lower Egypt, north of Cairo to the sea, "Ibere are frequent serious disturbances, of which the suppression is difficult owing to the severance of all railway and telegraph communication, but there has been no organised attach upon the British army, and no disaffection of the Egyptian army. The situation is complicated by Bedouin incursions from the western deserts. vfr. The situation is now more in hand. Cairo and Alexandria are qtiiet, and there is no disturbance at the Suez Canal. ’ y
