PALAIERSTON SALE. •Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd report: At Palmerston North J )n the 17th inst. we had a small yarding of sheep and a fair yarding 'of cattle. Practically every lot was sold under the hammer. We quote: Ewes with lambs, 34s to 35s 4d; forward ewes, to 31s sd; shorn hoggets, 18s fid. Cattle: Dairy cows, £8 7s Gd, £lO I 0 to £l4 ss; springing heifers, £lO to £lO ss; heifers in milk, £9 to £10; fat cows, £lO to £ll 2s; forward cows. £8 7s Gd to £9 10s; store cows, £6 lis, £6 15s to 7 17s Gd ;two-year steers, £9 lis to 10 3s; yearling steers, £6 6s. £fi 13s, to £6 15s; two-year heifers, £G Gs to £7 ss; yearling heifers, £3 10 8 to £5 14s. We hold our weekly sale at Feilding on Friday. The sheep market was a littlo easier, and only a few lots changed hands. Thorp was a fair demand for eatle.
