WINTER SHOW ASSN.

AUDITOR'S REPORT. At yesterday's meeting of the committee of the Waikato Winter Show Association, the auditors. Messrs Sanson and ()'.\leara, reported as follows : We have to report having examined the accounts of th® Association for the year ending 31st August, 1018, and have found same in order. THe following points call for special mention :

Outstanding Subscriptions and Accounts.—Practically all the outstanding accounts for space, ?tc.. for the 1916-17 season have been co'iP'icd during the year, also a r air proportion of the back accounts. We, notice, however 1 , that stale subscriptions have not come in so freely, and for the period under review the amount of £156 appears in ihe balance-sheet for outstanding subscription. . We would again suggest to the members that they should assist the secretary by paying tlieir subscriptions nromptlv. Reserve Fund.—The balance of £3B 4s 6d standing to the credit of this account at the beginning of the year has Iwen absorbed by writing off had debts, and a further res< ■ve of £SO has been created to provide for further doubtful debts.

Depreciation.—The usii: 1 eight per cent on buildings and plant has been provided for.

Vouchers.—The mission vouchers are few, and are all on account of prizemoney paid. We appreciate the difficulty in getitng receints in this connection, and for small amounts have accepted the butts of portal notos as evidence of payment. Generally speaking, the revenue account shows that the Association has had a successful year. After allowing £l6O 16s 4<l for depreciation, and £SO as a reserve for doubtful !< Ms the net profit is £2OB 10s 4d. Under the existing circumstances this is a very satisfactory result and we congratulate the members on same.
