ALLIES CONTINUE TO ADVANCE TOWARDS NORTHERN SERBIA. FURTHER ENEMY RETIREMENT IN ALBANIA. Received October 17, 7.:! l) p.m. (Australian and New Zealand and Renter.) LONDON, October 10. A French Eastern communique states that the Allies are continuing th";r advance towards Northern Serbia. The Serbians have captured Wlike and Vesterdac massif, and reached twelve miles northward of Nisli. A large number of prisoners have been taken. Albanian official: The enemy is retiring upon Ipek. EXTENSIVE DAMAGE DONE BY THE BULGARIANS AT NISH. Received October 17, 7.30 p.m. LONDON, October 10. The Franco-Serbians found bouses and shops at Nish plundered, the valuable library burned, the national monuments destroyed, and the church-s ransacked and damaged. The Bulgarians had killed or interned all the clergy. The Alios continue to advance towards the Danube.
