CAULFIELD RACES. OUTLOOK WINS THE ECLIPSF STAKES. MELBOURNE. October 16. Ihe weather was delightful, and there was a good attendance. Artilleryman, winner of the Nursery Handicap, dislodged hiV rider before the start. He is a son of Cross Battery. «*. A mixed reception was accorded Outtook after his winning the Eclipse Eurobin, winner of the Moonga Handicap i 8 a Caulfield Cup acceptor. Kilninn finished fourth. There was a great contest in the Coongy Handicap between Camp-out and Daius in both races. Lewis rode the winners Outlook and Cape Sky. J. O'Shea. the ioekoy. has arrived. Following are the results:— Hurdles.—Thaleta s 1, Shadow Darner 2, Tharnock 3. These wer e the only starters. Won by a length. Time; Mcna Nursery.—Artilleryman 1, Moorna Lass 2. Denacre 3. there were twenty starters. Won bv threequarters of a length. Time, 57sec. Eclipse Stakes.—Outlook, 7.12 1; Wolaroi, 9.4, 2; Democracy. 7.2." 3. Seven starters. Outlook 'led all the way. Wolaroi met with a little interference early in the race, but got a good chance in the straight, and made 1 a vigorous finish, Outlook winning bv a neck. Ethiopian was fourth. Euseb'ius ran badly. Time, 2.22*. Moonga Handicap.—Eurobin 1, Stagefnght 2, Espanias 3. Ton starters. Won bv three-quarters of a length. Time, 1.295. Coongy Handicap.—Daius and Campout deaded-heated for first place, Calais 3. There were seven starters. Time. 2.22J1.. Camp-out won in the run-off by half a head. Time, 2.21*. Burwood Novice.—Cape Sky 1. Highflown 2, Queen Comedy 3. Eighteen starters. Won by a neck. Time. 1.42|.
