THEATRE ROYAL MANAGEMENT.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—lt is not necessary for me to reply to your correspondent, J. Me. Kinnon, regarding the house management on the occasion of the Girls' School performance on Thursday evening last, as the public are aware that this had been entirely taken out of my hands. But I take this opportunity of dealing with the personalities contained in his letter. Firstly, that I looked on with seeming indifference; this, 1 flatly deny, for when sent for from the stage, where by the way, I was filling the post allotted to me bv the management, I did my utmost to reduce the inconvenience the public were subjected to through the general muddle there obtaining. However, I will admit that 1 did not use my eltows and shout out abuse such as indulged in by your correspondent, knowing that such a course would only tend to make the crowd as excited as he was. Referring to the latter portion of his letter, if this is the same J. McKinnon who earned a great deal of publicity a few weeks ago in connection with the Second Division League, 1 do not think my directors have much to learn from him in the matter of slumbering on or being about and doing.—l am, etc. SYDNEY TOMBS.

('1 he above letter was held over from yesterday's issue to allow of the publication of cables.—Ed. W.T.)
