SECOND EDITION THE WEATHER.
The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken at 9 a.m daily, and weather indications, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:— Thermometer. Max. Min. Friday (JS .',', Saturday (i 7 55 Barometer. Saturday 30.30 .Monday 2'..'.50. The weather during the past hours proved fine, with bright sunshine and light northerly breezes. The barometer has fallen half an inch since last reading, and now stands at 29.50. Indications are for unsettled weather, with light rain showers: winds becoming high and veering from north-east to a southerly direction; conditions will probably improve after J4 hours. The Weather Bureau wires: The indications are for easterly winds, strong > "lie. and backing by east to north. The weather will probably bo cloudy to overcast; heavy rain is to he expected, with rivers flooded. Barometer fallimr.
