GERMANS REPORT FAILURE OF FRANCO-AMERICAN THRUST. (Admiralty per Wireless Press.) Received October 11, 9.25 p.m. LONDON, October 11. German official: The Eranco-Amerieans' main thrust on Wednesday between the Aire and the Meuse was directed against Sonunerance am! Romagne, but both remain in our hands. We recaptured Sivrv, eastward of the Meuse.
