The Prime Minister, Mr W. F. Massey, and the Minister for Finance, Sir Joseph Ward, will arrive in Auckland by the Niagara to-morrow irom England, where they have been attendinir sittings ot the Imperial War Conference. On Wednesday last the employees of Mr R. T. Turpin, of Frankton, as. sembled to bid farewell to their late foreman, Mr George Barton, who left for camp with the 47th draft last night. Mr W. J. Jones, on behalf of the employees, presented Mr Barton with a case of pipes and a wallet, at the same time assuring him of their regret at losing him and their best wishes for his success and safe return. Mr Turpin and others spoke in the same strain. Ihe recipient briefly returned thanks for the gift and the kindh remarks. The proceedings closed with the singing of "Auld Lang S^iio."
