GOLDSTEIN'S CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS. (United Press Association.) Received August 30, 9.15 p.m. SYDNEY, August 30. The latest developments in tbr I.W.W. Commission are Goldstein's two contradictory declarations, ivliich have been i)iililished. The first accuses the police of accepting hribes in money and .suits of clothes from Goldstein in con. nection with, a forged note case in which Goldstein was arrested and discharged. He alleges that the police placed a fire done in the pocket of ono of the I.YV.W . accused. The second statement withdraws all the charges wid admits that the allegations arc untrue, and that they were made because of the persecution and ostracism which 'Tie suffered through acting a-s a Crown wititss.
