SATURDAY'S MATCHES. OLD BOYS BEAT CITY. The conditions for the meeting of City and Old Boys for the final of the Clark Cup at Steele Park last Saturdaywere ideal, and as a result, a good number of spectators put in an appearance. City Were considerably weakened by the absence of five men, but they held the Old Boys for the major portion of the game. The red and blacks put on 13 points in the first and mx points in the last quarter, i" nlu-iily winning by I!) points to 3. JUNIORS. CITY DEFEAT OLD BOYS. As a curtain-raiser, the above teams met in the junior contest, and provided a great game. City were mainly attacking, but the defence of the red and blacks waa good, and could not be broken. City forwards ran over Old Boys for the first quarter, and took charge. After waking up, the red and .Maclisp pack, turned the tables, and over-eagertiess 4 Spoilt good scoring chances. Bateman and Jones scored for City, and Buckland kicked a penalty goal for Old Boys, the final scores being 6 to 3. Mr J. Quaitrough was referee. HIGH SCHOOL DEFEAT FRANKTON. High, School met and defeated Frankton by 3 points to nil, after an uninteresting game. Prosser scored. Mr Bowling was referee. HAMJL.TO.N v. TE AWAMUTU.
