SATURDAY'S RESULTS. HAMILTON DEFEAT GOLDFIELDS. BY l.'i TO 11. The Hamilton senior representatives journeyed to Te Aroha on Saturday to piny the Goldfields' fifteen, the latter being selected from Te Aroha, Paeroa and the surrounding districts. The weather was fine, but the ground was in a bad state. Hamilton took a good while to find their bearings, but the combination work of their backs easily outclassed their opponents' exhibition, Goldfields doing more individual work. In the forwards Goldfields held the yellow and blacks, the latter being more prominent in the loose. The Goldfields team did not seem to understand the new rules which are now 111 force, soveral offences being allowed to pass by the referee. For Hamilton Greene scored and Peebles potted a goal and kicked two penalty goals. Snell and Sampson scored for Goldfields, Gavin converting once, and also kicking a penalty.

JUNIORS. CITY BEAT HIGH SCHOOL A. The final match for the championship in the junior grade was played at Seddon Park on Saturday between City and High School A, City proving victorious by 12 points to 5. The game was an exciting one, but the school team went down badly in the third spell, City scoring three tries within six minutes. City held the upper hand after the first spell. For the winners Jones, Cooper, Crawford and Manure wa scored, and for the losers, Campbell scored and MeCaw converted. Mr J. Qualtrough was referee. FRANKTON v. HIGH SCHOOL B. Frankton met and defeated High School B by 8 points to nil. Swayne securing two tries, one of which Zeigler converted. Mr McKinnon was referee. SCHOOL MATCHES.
