AIR RAIDS
A FLIGHT TO ENGLAND. RAIDERS' RAPID RETREAT. (Australian and N.Z. and Router.) Received Julv 20, 10.30 a.m LONDON, Julv 19. The Press Bureau states that hostile aeroplanes flew over Thanet at a great altitude in the evening, but were immediately driven oil'.
ATTACK ON PARIS. RAID LASTS 45 MINUTES. (Australian and N.Z. and neuter.) Received July 20, 10.40 a.m. PARIS, July 19. An air raid warning was given at midnight, and all clear at 12.45 a.m. OPERATIONS AGAINST POLA. (Australian and N.Z. and Reuter.) Received Julv 20, 1 p.m LONDON, July 19. Italian oilicial reports state that Italian naval airships and aeroplanes dropped 8000 kilogrammes of bombs in the military works and maritime forces at Pola. ACTIVITY ON FLANDERS COAST. ENEMY DESTROYER HIT. (Australian and N.Z. and Reuter.) Received Julv 20, 1 p.m. LONDON, July 19. The Admiralty report states that in July air force units, co-operating with the Navy, bombed, and machine-gunned enemy destroyers off the Flanders coast, directly hitting a destroyer.
