Admir.-ity reports that a successful raid Lw the vicinity of Constantinople in .lu!y was carried out by a British bombing aeroplane, of the Handley-Paee type, which Hew from England to a Mediterranean base by eight stages. It occasionally met strong ■winds and rainstorms, and one stretch of 200 miles was entirely over mountainous '"country. The total flight was 2000 miles, and the aviator was actually 31 hours in the air.
