BUSINESS MEETING

The above Presbytery ha Id its meeting in St. Andrew's Church, Hamilton on Tuesday last. There were present Revs D. Herd (Moderator), Burrows, Mackie, Hoseveare. Ward, Lochore, McKenzie, Wedderspoon and Shaw and Messrs Howie,- Budge and Forguson (elders). Home Missionaries Bishop Bailey, McFarlane and King vertalso present. VThe Moderator and Clerk were asked t4arrange the itinerary of Rev. W. V. Missionary from the New H< h. riaes. Mr Milne is expected to visit Waikato in October and November

Rev Wedderspoon's resignation of the charge of Tauranga was accepted w tli regret, several members speaking very appreciatively of Mr Wedderspoon iud liis work. l?ev. D. Hird, M .A. .vas apointed Moderator of Tauran<;a. An application for appointment to Home Mission work was received from Mr H. Could and forwarded ~o the Home Mission Committee with the Prespyterv's hearty endorsement. The following ministers were tppointed delegates to the General Assembly at Dnnedin in November: Revs. I). Hird, R. Mackie, D. J. Shaw, 0. \Y. Lochore F. W. Robertson and R. \Y. Jackson with elders to l e appointed from the .w.owing sessions: Hamilton, Cambridge, Tc Awamutu, Rotorua and l'aterangi. The annual balance sheet and general statistics of the Home Mission districts were carefully considered with a view to allocation of grants where required. Tlie Presbytery will hold its next meeting in St. Andrew's Church, Hamil. ton, on October 9th .
