ORGANISING THE CLERGY. HYPOCRITICAL EFFORTS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) ■, Received May 21, 8.40 a.m. v AMSTERDAM, May 20. The Deutsche Kirchen Zeitung states that the Catholic clergy in Germany have inaugurated a powerfully-organ-ised peace movement. It adds: "After despatching the Socialists to Stockholm the German Government now presses the Catholics into service for hypocritical peace efforts." It also says "the clergy intend to create a world-wide union of eucharists, and the Catholic archbishops in other countries have promised their warm support."
