ENEMY RAID SUCCESSFULLY REPULSED. 17 GERMAN AEROPLANES BROUGHT DO^N—FOUR BRITISH MISSING. (Australian and New Zealand and Reuter.) Received May 3, 7.15 p.m. LONDON, May 2. Sir, Douglas Haig reports that we drove off a raid northward of Erleuxengshelle. There has been active reciprocal artillery fire northward of the Scarpe and in the neighbourhood of Ypres. Seventeen German aeroplanes were brought down on Tuesday. Four of ours are missing.
