AUCKLAND, Wednesday
At the meeting of the Board of Education to-day the following were among the appointments authorised: Miss E. B. Cussen and Miss H. Feeran, assistants, Huntiy; M'ss N. J. Watson, assistant, To Aroha West; Tiiss L. A. Brown, assistant, Pirongia.
TV Minister is to bo asked for auth'iri'v to open Mangatautari No. 2 scb.-.cl half time with Hora Hora Rapids school.
A request for the erection of a residence at Omahine was declined, and for the enlargement of the school was referred to the inspector. The fencing of the horse nnddook and erp'ton of a coal shed at Horotiu was authorised.
Repairs to residence at Manawaru, the sunnlv '-f a new tank at Ngaruawahia, improvements to residences at Taotaoroa rnd Te Aroha West, and repairs to the school at Whitehall, were authorised.
The Tapani scV-r-vi ;« +. n I>p full time, and the Selwyn school closed for the present.
