Y\ hen crossing the railway line opposite Mr A. J. Tong's store, a team of horses, driven hy Mr Jock Loekyer, took- fright at an approaching train, which was shunting on the line. One horse stumbled and fell, and was rather badly cut. Bandages were procured at Mr F. Johnston's store and the team was soon under control. The driver is to he commended for the resolute way in which lie retained his hold on the reins.
