Rifleman Aubrey Hamilton Wild, who has been killed in action in France, was horn at Hamilton '29 years ago. He was the fourth son of Mr F* A. (Jonathan) Wild, of Te Aroha. Prior to enlisting. he was engaged in farming with his brother at Aylesbury, near Te Aroha. He always took an active, part in military matters, and was several years in the Piako Mounted Rifles. He had'to undergo a severe operation to fit himself for act : ve service. Rifleman Wild came of soldier stock on both sides of his fanr' I *-. His father served through 'he Waikntn war in the 2nd Regiment Waikato Militia, and afterwards in the Mounted Constabulary.. Wild, "f «t)ie 4th Waikaio Mounted R'fles, Main Body, went through Gallipoli, and was invalided home before Christmas. His younger brother enlisted some months hack, and goes into camp on reaching Ins twentieth birthday next month.
