REQUISIONMENT OF CHEESE
PRIVATE SALES AND CONTRACTS

(By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Monday. A deputation of agents and na-r. chants engaged in the sale and shipment of cheese waited on the Minister for Agriculture, the Hon. W. 1). S. MaeDonald, to-day, in order to make representations concerning the Government's
requisitioning scheme. The poini raised was the recognition of private sales £>nd contracts, and the deputation was accompanied by its legal advise: Mr M. A! vers. The procc - : !n". wen , , ivnte. The Minister s:;.;e ; svb (jMently that he bad j romi •<] ;o obtain me additional information before issuing tlfe proclamation requisitioning the output of cheese. The Solicitor-General was preparing the proclamation, and it would be issued as soon as the required data was available. The Minister added that the Government would buy the cheese from the owners, whoever they might be. He wishes to de a l solely with owners. The question of who owned the cheese under the arrangements already made ought to ho settled easily enough by the parties concerned.
