SPECIAL PERFORMANCE. All who saw "A Country Girl" played by the Hamilton Operatic Society on Show nights agree that it was the finest amateur operatic performance the had ever seen. In fact, one Auckland gentleman, whose pleasure it was to witness th eplay, rang up an official of the Society (although quite unknown to him) and stated that he had witnessed many amateur performances both' in New Zealand and other countries, and he could not leave Hamilton without personally offering his congratulations to the Society on what he had no hesitation in saying was the best produced amateur play he had ever witnessed. On Wednesday week, December December 13, this delightful comic opera will be again presented, when the total proceeds,, free of all expense, will be divided between the Victoria Leagu (for some patriotic purpose) and the Hamilton Beautifying Society. Special arrangements have been made for seating country residents, who can, by notifying Paul's Book Arcade, have seats marked o with residents of the town. The prices of admission are 4s booked, and 2s Gd. The box plan will beopened at 9 a.m. on Thursdav 7th.
