Mr Ward Price, at Salonika, cables that the evening's sensation is the report that King Constantine has lied from Athens to Larissa, under refuge of a German escort of 300 Uhlans who had been waiting for several days. The report is not confirmed. Newspapers foreshadow the resignation of the Zaimis Cabinet. ENEMY ADMITS CAPTURE OF THREE TOWNS. AUSTRIAN'S RETIRE TO SECOND LINE, LEAVING PRISONERS. The Bucharest correspondent 'of the Rome Messagero reports that the Roumanians defeated the Austrians on the whole line. The latter retired to their second line, leaving hundreds of prisoners. The naval bombardment of Varna continues. AMSTERDAM, August 30. An Austrian communique states: "On the heights north-east of Orsova we repulsed repeated Roumanian attacks. Otherwise the lighting has been confined to units on the frontiers. We have withdrawn step by step in accordance with plans prearranged in the event of war. "The enemy will boast of the occupation of Petroseny, Brasso, and Kesdi Yasarhely. "The northernmost Roumanian troops are engaged in a battle in the Gycrgyo Mountains. "Our Danube llotilla destroyed, near Turnu Magurel% Roumanian tugs, harbour warehouses, and military establishments, and captured two loaded barges and steamers.
