-Mrs Ewen Masgregor and .Miss Peggy Macgregor, of the Rukuhia Homestead, who have for the past ten months been m England, return to New Zealand 011 Saturday next by the Arawa.
Word has just l.Jen received of the death on the \\ extern Front of Sergeant Leonard Xoonan, brother of Dr. Xoonan, oi Hamilton. Sergeant Xoonan left Australia with the main body, and took part in the Gallipoli landing when he was wounded. He afterwards fought at Suvla Bay, where he received a further wound, and had only just left the hospital when the order came to sail for France. He assisted in the capture of Pozieres, and was killed in action a few days ago.
