WEEDS IN WOOL
BELGIAN EXPERT SUGGESTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association). WAXGAXLT, Monday. A suggestion fur consideration by the Government lias been made by two local fanners regarding the New Zealand wool industry. Some of the New Zealand wool is seedy, due to the presence of biddybid in pastures. Recently another variety of weed has made its appearance, which catches the lambs, the vvool being affected in price on account of the cost of cleaning. Belgians were formerly the principal purchasers, hut since the war the demand has decreased. Belgians treated the seedy wm.il by a roasting process, which destroyed the burs without damaging the wool. It is suggested
