A CURIOUS POSITION
GERMAN IN FEDERAL PARLIAMENT. Received August 25, 8.10 p.m. MELBOURNE, August 25. In (onnection with Mr George Dankel, member for Boothby, S.A.. who is a native of Germany, attending the Federal caucus, the Argus drew attention to the possibility of his voting on questions deciding the war policy of tiie Common wealth. The paper added' that though no suggestion was made regarding his loyalty, it could not doubt' the impropriety ol .Mr Dankels speaking and voting on measures for prosecution of a war against his ."■ country. The caucus resolved to adopt the Ex- ' ecutive's recommendation to admit Mr Dankel and invited him to attend.
