It would ly necessary, he said, to submit the scheme to the Public Health Department for approval. Mr Sims stated that lie had been in communication with the Frankton Borough Council with reference to a joint scheme, which had been previously discussed, and he attached a letter from the Frankton Town Clerk on the matter. This stated that the Frankton Council found it impossible to connect with the Hamilton scheme until they got close to the septic- tanks, as the Frankton scheme ran at a much higher level than the Hamilton one. The Frankton Council was still prepared, however, to pay half the cost of the septic tanks required for the two boroughs on a basis to be mutually arranged, always provided the Frankton scheme was allowed to run through Hamilton. The letter suggested a conference of the two Councils on the matter. Mr Rims' report was adopted, and the engineer was instructed to confer with the Frankton Council on the matter and report later.
