THE CZAR OF RUSSIA. LEAVES FOR THE FRONT. Received June 25, 9.15 a.m. PETROGRAD, June 24, The Czar has gone to the front. GERMAN REPORTS. LEMBERG PARTLY KTJHNED. BIG BATTLE IN PROGRESS. Received June 25, 1.50 p.m. AMSTERDAM, June 24. German papers state that the Western quarter of l.emberg was burned. The Russians ignited the benzine and petroleum refineries before leaving. A German communique states General von Linsingen crossed the Dniester between Halicz and Qurawno, and is engaged in a violent battle. RUSSIAN STRATEGY. GERMAN ADVANCE CHECKED. ATJSTRrANS MENACED IN EAST. ROME, June 24. A telegram from Przemysl states that the Russians attacked the the German left flank north-east of Lemberg in great force, thereby stopping the German advance north of Lemberg. It is reported from Czernowitz that Austrian reinforcements continue to arrive north of Kolomea and Stanislau, where the Russians assumed the offensive, threatening the right flank of the Austro-Germans marching from Wolkynia.
