Motor Repairs that Stand. WHE time is past when a Motor repair was merely an expedient—a temporary righting of some fractured part. The capabilities of skilful workmanship aided by modern tools are now recognised. The motor engineer of to-day, who considers himself worthy of the name, would blush to admit that he could not make a lasting repair. And this is the principle which guides our efforts in all motor repair work. Our aim to make a repaired part equal to its original condition, and in order to do this we have gathered around us a hand of skilled mechanics specialists who are enthusiastic about their work. These men are helped by a workshop containing! aj modern engineering plant, and every tool calculated to increase the proficiency of the work. So you see, when we are entrusted with your motor repairs you have a skilled staff, combined with the one desire to achieve permanency for the result of their labours and satisfaction for you. Motor repair charges, together with all Motor Supplies, are consistent with our Gash Reform system. agents for James Tombs & Co. AGENTS FOR Motor Engineers Hamilton.

Amongst the volunteers coming forward foz the New ditionary Force there are many who have previously done their utmost to shirk military training. A case m point happened a few days ago at the lecruiting office. A couple of sturdy young fellows presented themselves to enlist for the front. Questions naturally followed as to their training under the Defence Act, and the information was elicited that both had been drifting about the country at their work, and had thus evaded tneir obligations to the couatry. The tale was not told exactly in these words, but it was sufficient to show that these two had not troubled muck about carrying out their training daties. An officer of wide recruiting experience informed a reporter that there were many young men similarly placed throughout the country.
