SATISFACTORY RECRUITING
STATEMENT BY THE PREMIER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. AUCKLAND, Monday. In a statement made by the Premier on Saturday, ho said that during the past fortnight an improvement had taken place in recruiting, and men were coining forward in a satisfactory manner. In the meantime, "I am proud to say," continued ' v "r Massey, "New Zealand in proportion to population, leads the other Dominions in the assistance given to the Empire, and we intend to keep that position, however long the war lists."
