WAIKATO LAND AND ESTATE AGENTS' ASSOCIATION.
A well-attended meeting of the Waikato Land Agents' Association was held last Friday night in the Old Borough Council Chambers. Mr T. A. Cooper (vice-president) occupied the chair. Messrs Matthews Bros., Hamilton, and Mr E. C. Stanley, Hamilton, were elected members of the Association. Correspondence was read from kindred associations re more uniform rates of commissions.—lt was decided to send a remit to the Dominion Conference of Land .Agents with reference to this question. The following ler-clution was carried unanimously: ''That it lie a remit to the Dominion Conference that members be authorised to soli properties for members of the Expeditionary Forces who are desirous of getting away at half-rates of commission, and that this concession come into force here at once." The following were appointed delegates to the Dominion Conference to be held in Wellington in June:—Messrs W. Messana and N. G. Gribble; substitutes, Messrs W. F. Mason and T. A. Cooper. An informal discussion took place with reference to lecent decisions in the Law Courts. It was the general opinion of the meeting that a most unsatisfactory state of things exists, the judgments being quite contradictory. The meeting carried a motion expressing deep sympathy with Mrs W. King in lier recent bereavement.
