Tiis New Zealand L-oan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from tfoeir London house under date 20 th inst :

Wheat : Sold a New Zealand parcel at 32s 9d c.i.f. The market is dull, there is very little demand, and the outlook is uncertain. We quote per •uiarter, c.i.f. : New Zealand wheat, long-berried, 33s ; short-berried, 32s fid.

Tallow : We iqsiote present spot values for the following descriptions: —Good mutton, 38s Gd Per cwt. • good beef 35s 3d per cwt ; mixed 33s per cwt. The market is inactive.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Go., Ltd., report PIO PIO. At Pio Pio on Tuesday, 19th inst., yearling steers made. £2 19s to £3 2s Gd. mixed yearlings £2 15s, yearling heifers £2 17s, dairy cows £6 to £7 store cows £3 2s &d. HAMILTON. At Hamiltcm ion. Thursday the 21st inst. we penned 415 sheep -and 250 head of ca/ttls, a large nurn 1 >er being springing- heifers ; also 70 pigs. There was a good competition and a total clearance effected at most satisfactory prices. Fat steers £lO to £lO 10s, fat cgys £6 15s to £8 15s, 2§ to 3 year old steers £5 3s, 2 ye a r old steers £4 to £4 2s, yearlings £2 8s to £2 19s, store cows (empty) £3 10s to £4 2s 6d, yearling heifers £3 to £3 4s, sprineuno; heifers £fi 2s fid to £7, dairy cows £6 15s to £8 10s, backward heifers £4 12s fid to £4 17a fid, pigis, slips 14s. A lease of a section vested in the Ngiaruawahia Library Committee, containing 25 perches, realised £ll per annum for a term of 14 years.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weeklysale of hides, skins, tallow, etc. on Tuesday 'l9th inst. Hides.—Firm at last rates.
