MANY KILLED AND INJURED

Twenty-fi\e people were killed and t ; 0 injured by the collapsing of a church at Binien to-day. When the supporting pillars creaked a general lash was made for the doors. but
members of the choir were unable to escai>e down the little narrow stairway, and jumped from the railog to the floor below. The rescuers had to chop away a '•arge quantity of fallen timlier which ?ad pinned a number of the congregation to the floor.
