YOUNG WIFE RESCUED FROM HUSBAND'S FATE.
The tragic experience of a young English bride. whosa husband was eaten by alligators in the Ganges, was :e: t-1 at Hymouia when the liner Malwa arrived from India. -.:•"•!_ ih? !>as--;:vM.rs was Mrs Livesay, who was married thres months ago at Gawnpore, where her husband was stationed. Within a few moments the animals were plunedr.'g .-.mong th" -:r::grlir.: mem and women. several of whom disappeared. Mrs Livesay was rescued tn f : • ague of her husband's, Mr SJ. R. Scott, hut Mr Livesay and three ethers were not seen again, and wra, it is presumed, eaten by the alligators. Mr Livesay, who was a merchant and a native of London, was 26 of age. His widow is a year or tw 0 younger.
