STEAMERS OVERDUE

WELLINGTON, This day. The heavy gale- continues, with very cold weather, hut no rain. In fact the streets are being' watered today, but water is washing over tb? new railway track to the Hutt, and only one Hoe can he used. A number of steamers are overdue, including the Indralema and Tarawera from Napier, which are supposed bo !.€ sheltering somewhere. Those arriving report very bad trips.
