Mr Willett, the originator of the dayli jht saving scheme, sends to the Home papers a letter he has received from a person he is not acquainted with, from which the following is an extract :• —"I have just on a vi&it to Wales from Western Canada, and can spoa'K from experience of the great advantage to be derived from a system of daylizht saving, as the city of Fort William, Ontario, for the past three years has adopted same. and. by altering the clock one hour on the lath May, each year until October, has conferred a great boon on the inhabitants. It was amusing to observe tha objections •that were raised against it in the first instance. These have all be on forgiottsu now, and all are agjreed upon the great benefits gained during the summer months, when we are able to continue our canoeing, boating, baseball, or gardening, as the might be, for an additional hour.''
